While major brands are racing to unveil and introduce their latest products at Photokina 2016 in Cologne, Germany, Xiaomi’s Yi Technology has introduced as well its Yi M1, Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera. If you need a good looking (people say it looks like Leica T) and inexpensive camera, it can be your option.
Equipped with 20-MP Sony IMX269 Micro Four Thirds sensor, Yi M1 shoots RAW and JPEG images, captures 4K video and has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Other features include 5 fps continuous shooting, ISO range from 100 to 25600, 3-inch touch-screen display, and 450-shot battery life.
Yi has also introduced two new lenses: 12-40mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens and 42.5mm f/1.8 lens. Yi M1 with the zoom lens is priced at 2199 Chinese Yuan/CNY (approx. IDR 4,3 millions).
The camera and lenses will be available soon at China’s JD.com. Until now there is no information yet regarding global release of the products.
